Using accurite therm

I picked up an accurite therm. at Walmart last night and it is set up for inside and.outside so I put the unit in the glass display tank and the probe in one of my tubs in the rack is this the proper way to use it?

I'm not sure I follow how you set it up..but what I do currently is set the unit inside whatever enclosure I am wanting to monitor, put the unit on the cool side, and the probe under the hot side hide. The unit itself measures a temp, and humidity, the prob measures another temp. So if it is outside of an enclosure, you are only getting the probe reading for temp, as the unit is measuring temp & humidity wherever it itself is placed.

Well, like RoseyReps, I didn't quite get your 'procedure' but I'll tell you how I did it.

I used an IN/OUT Thermometer with Hygrometer,(Click here for a BP.Net famous mod on this and similar models), and placed all three probes (IN temp, OUT temp, and Humidity) inside the tank (In for the hot side, out for the cold side and the humidity near ground level around the center of the enclosure). However you can do it any way you like, as long as you keep track of which probe is in which side of the enclosure.
