Trade value on bumble bee het hypo vs. Ivory

Do you think this is a fair trade? Male bumble bee het hypo-1050 grams with no paper work on the hypo part for female ivory hatchling. I have the hatchling ivory female. Im inclined to think it is but just wanted to see what others think. The guy seems legit, has a nice website, and a good trader rating so I trust him on the het hypo aspect so thats not really an issue for me. Thanks, Aaron

I think its fair if the male is indeed a het hypo. When you trade, you should get a written guarantee that the bee is het hypo in case he doesn't prove out after 3 breedings. And come up with a back up plan if he doesn't prove out. Like, the trader should owe you the difference for a regular bee or something. Its quite a difference in sum between a normal bee and a het hypo bee.... You know, just in case.

Also, the bumble bee het hypo has a scar on his lower jaw from a bite, it looks like a nice little piece is missing/almost a little cleft if you will. Does this effect the trade value as well? I looks just cosmedic, but IDK I like my snakes to be pretty

Male bees go for as low as $300 nowadays. Nice ones for $400ish. Do you have any pics of the bee and the injury?

Also why do you want to do the trade? Does the bee fit into your plans better?

Male bees are going between $200 & $275 down here in Miami atleast.

Those are deals off CL and people who are just trying to move things. Market value, which I don't think changes from state to state is about $350-$400.

I know a guy that is selling a female bumble bee het hypo for $650. So my guess is $200-$250 less. $400-450 for good quality. Then the ivory I've seen him post male for $650 and female for $850.

Bee is worth what a bee is worth, not even close to an Ivory female especially since the het part of the bee is in question.
I think it would be a foolish move to trade a Ivory female for a bee het ghost even if the bee het ghost has paperwork...

Cost and worth are two different things. To me a breeder male 2 poss 3 gene combo male is worth more than a baby female Super YB..but that's just me and my animals. If you have 3 male Bee's then it might be worth it..but in my mind no not for a baby female. .
