    to go beyond what normal people even want to read, visual recessives are homozygous, just like a super pastel is homozygous. When you have a homozygous situation, the parent gives one gene or the other, since the two gene are exactly the same, the parent always passes one gene. So a pied to non-pied, you end up with all the babies being heterozygous (het). Same thing with a super pastel, it gives one pastel gene or the other, so all the babies end up with a pastel gene.
