I know that feel! I got some good info from the guy that I got my ball from but it was tough going with a lot of other places. I have my guy in a setup very similar to yours, though I will say that I have mine in a regular steralite bin, works wonders and it is a massive space for him... 110 qts is a little less than 30 gallons US... and they are only $16.99 a pop (that includes the lid). Freaking love these things.

Have the enclosures with the heat pad on for a day and night. measure the temps each hour and see if the ambient is consistent. For the humidity, get some plastic wrap and cover 2/3 of the screen, it works great for me, and I'm using aspen, lol.

Please do not use your UTH unless you have your thermostat, or at least a light dimmer.
As long as you can keep the ambient temperatures proper, belly heat is all you'd need.
I'd add some fake plants or crumpled up newspaper, since you said they're babies. Young ones particularly do well in smaller set ups, but can do fine in larger ones as long as there are lots of places to hide, etc.
