Emergency!! Please help!!
One of my eggs has a cut that appears to be done by an egg tooth. Problem is it is day 43.... It's on the bottom/side of the eggs. Should I wrap it with plastic wrap or let it be?

Is it leaking? A pic might help us to see exactly what happening. You dont want to wrap the egg in plastic wrap, that wouldnt allow o2 or h2o into the egg...

It is leaking a little, I was just going to wrap the slit.

How large is the cut?
You can cut a small piece of saran wrap to use as a patch over the cut (Think band-aid). Just don't cover the whole egg.

Yeah. Just use saran wrap to patch the cut. And if you cut the eggs early and the liquid seems low, you can fill the egg up with distilled warm water or saline..

Um... what temps are they at and have been kept at? Maybe baby wants out early.

yeah, I'm kind of curious about the temps as well. I've seen eggs hatch 10-14 days prematurely because of higher temperatures. They all came out fine, just a little bit runty. Too hot kills, but just a touch over the mark can sometimes have this effect. And as the rest said though, if temps weren't spiked, just place a small amount of plastic wrap over the opening. Should not have leaked too much at this point, just be careful not to accidently squeeze any fluids out with unneeded pressure when you try to fix it!
