New to racks
I have 2 snakes that started getting a slight whistle every now and again and I just found my humidity is over 80%, could this cause it??? Also, would I just need to put more holes in the tubs to lower the humidity or what????

Smaller water area, more holes in tub (done slowly so you don't over do it), moving the water further from heat source (if possible) are all ways to lower and better mantain your humidity. As for the whistle, need more info on your temperatures, such as Ambient temps, hot spot temps, and cool side temps. . . Whistles can be the start of an RI, be very watchful for any kind of dried up or wet discharge on the snakes snout.

More holes = less humidity. 80% humidity with good airflow (ventilation) is fine, in fact the parts of Africa that BP's come from average 75% humidity. What causes problems is stagnant air along with high humidity.
How are your cool side temperatures?

Yes the temps are fine. I use a one air change per hour rate for air flow. The easy check is using dry paper substrate check rh remove the water bowl wait one hour and check the rh again it should be at or very near the rooms rh level. If not make more holes. The rh on the tub will depend on the room. A screen enclosure will be 80% if the room is 80%.

Yeah it's about 58 in the room itself....but the tubs are getting too high, so I'm thinking of doing what u said, gonna take out the water dished and see what happens

Leave it out for an hour and see where you are. Don't forget to put it back in thou...
It will be lower if it is on the cool side. And smaller diameter.

Re: New to racks
So lucky, I wish my problem was reducing humidity. Such case is the opposite for me.
