Another show about exotic animals as pets

I miss having non-hyped, educational shows. Can't actually remember the last time I saw one, and haven't had cable in 4 years. Doesn't sound like I'm missing much though

Those shows, especially those that pertain to animals and our love for them, died about the same time that Steve Irwin died. Now all you will find on Animal Planet and similar channels are animal hating scare tactic shows fueled by PeTA and HSUS. Pretty much every other channel is filled with crap the media forces down our throats to dumb us down, like "Jersey Shore" and other ridiculous "reality shows". Very, very few decent shows these days.
