I'm in the same boat here Mike. My females are reaching age and weight but I'm moving in the spring to a place where I'm actually allowed to have them and will be able to take care of the breeding properly. Part of me wants to just pair them and hope they don't lay until after I move. The part of me using my brain is making sure I wait.
You can prob get +1 eggs worth of weight on them before spring. Maybe that +1 egg is gonna be your 2 gene animal. Use that to trick the impatient part of you into waiting.
