I am thinking about getting a BRB in a few weeks, so I am doing test runs to make sure I can provide all of its requirements before I get it. The problem lies in the fact that I have a 75 gallon tank that needs to have a humidity level 75+ (although I would probably shoot for at least 80). Right now the humidity level is 70-72. That does not seem to be enough. Right now I have a mixture of eco earth and spanish moss that I have moisten. I also have a large water bowl (13 by 8 inches) filled 3/4. I covered the mesh lid with a towel and have misted the walls of the tank. I am obviously doing something wrong and/or left something out, so I am wondering what advice you guys/girls could give me? (I should note that a humid hide or two will be put in the tank as well).

The last question I have is a rather odd one that I am quite skeptical about asking, but I shall ask anyway. Could I just put an old fashion humidifier in the tank (like this one but an older/different brand http://www.target.com/p/vicks-germ-f...0/-/A-12729437 and of course I would only put water in it)? I have a feeling this is going to be answered no, but I want to make sure.
