So confused
So this past year I tried breeding my female normal and didn't have any luck. Thought she produced follicles but they went away and never saw any signs aside from swelling up and going away. I had her checked twice before and both times we thought female probe went maybe 3-4 scales and no further. Figured I'd try putting a bit more weight on her this year, never weighed more than 1200g last year, and try again this year. Well I was cleaning tubs today and figured a 3rd check wouldn't hurt. I believe that she is now a he as I found sperm plugs and probe went 8-9 scales.

At this point I would recommend that you have this animal sexed by someone experienced and preferably by popping.
In case this was not a sperm plug that you found, did you probe on both sides? any chance than the animal was injured when previously probed?

I don't think that it was injured when last done, guy that did it had sexed them before. Though we did have problems sexing the large male and couldn't figure out for a while what it was. I did check both sides and they were equal in depth. I can get a picture of what did come out and looks similar to all the pictures I've seen. I"ll have to look and see if there's a local breeder close to me instead of a vet.
