Noob question: What do the numbers mean?

Im new to the forum and to BP's although I did have a Boa Constrictor for many years. I see most people on the forum have multiple snakes and they have numbers like 1.0, 2.0, etc preceding the type of snake. How do the numbers decode? Is it age, male or female, etc?

Yup, first number is males, second is females, third is unsexed.
So 2.4.1 would be two males, four females, and one unsexed.

If nothing ever changed, there would be no butterflies.
