    Het Pied dinker?

I dont have pictures yet i will get some in a little while, but at my local pet store is a gorgeous ball that has the black striping down his belly to show me he looks het pied and a few ringer spots. Also its almost as if he was a pied but instead of the white its pastel colors, a big chunk of the middle of his body is bright yellow scales. His head and tail area are really dark and normal looking. Any ideas of what that is? I will post pics as when i go and get some.

    hmm very interesting!!

I can't say for sure about the stripping down the sides but the body looks IMG almost.

good luck proving them, let us know what you find out!!

any chance you can get better photos taken? Borrow a camera or have someone take some better pics? That does look neat. Pied markers aren't reliable.

malnourished, get some food in him and I bet he colors right up for you.

With the price of het pied males being almost nothing, I'd pass on trying to prove out a male pos het.

Well i can say he's not exactly malnourished but is a bit small for a 2008 the people at the pet store said he's hooked on mice and is scared of rats, sorry i only had my phone to take pics, I know pied het markers aren't reliable at all but his mid section is something i have never seen before and im stumped on what it is. As of IMG i don't know what that means. I'm not that excited about the belly but more so about the midsection to see if its anything genetic. thanks for the replies!

I'd hate to "waste" 0.1 Pied on an unproven 1.0 Het Pied. You end up with a bunch of Het's from your high dollar female. Not worth it.

Never breed a female to a genetically lesser male.

The other way around would be fine...... I'd breed a 1.0 Pied to a 0.1 Normal and actually plan on doing so to get a few more Het Pied girls.

The loss of pigment is common in malnourished ball pythons.
Well fed I bet it goes away
