Ralph Davis pointed out something cool in one of his videos regarding locks. He showed a male with a completely obvious "lock", but when he lifted the tail to see hemipenes, they weren't even out. I don't know why he would "lock" but not actually copulate. Maybe it's part of the courtship. Either way they're obviously interested!
