41 qt tub size question
im looking at getting some ap racks to house my corn snake my rat snake/ and also my ball pythons. now please understand the corn/rat snakes and the balls wont be in the same rack i plan on getting 2 eventually but my question is will these snakes no matter if its female or male at full adult sizes live comfortably in the 41 qt sterilite 1860/1960 ap enclosed rack or do i need to find a rack with a bigger tub size any info or opinions are appreciated thanks

They should be fine in a 41 qt tub, but I would suggest that you get a rack with IRIS tubs. Sterilite changes their tub sizes every few years which makes getting replacement tubs harder.

if needed this is what i would do most likely, if you dont mind me asking how often do you actually wear out a tub is this a major concern i should look into? do tubs usually crack or break or get worn at all from sliding in and out and getting heated up .

i just went to target to look at these tubs to get an idea of the size and just a quick f.y.i the target in my area has the 1960 sterilite 41qt tubs on sale for 7.99 i dont know if thats cheap or if you guys have a resource to get them cheaper but if it is a good price i might pick up 8 of them and go ahead and order my 4 shelf rack today.

do it! you could definitely split those 41qts in half for your colubrids.

Re: 41 qt tub size question
one other question if sterilite did change the tubs and or i could not find them anymore is there any other tubs that would fit their 1860/1960 racks or would you have to buy another rack. im sure there is always a tub somewhere that would fit if you needed to change them right?

nope, I don't believe there is another the same size.
My 41qt sterilites are 2 years old and working pretty much like new.

I have 41qt sterilites from Target. $9.99 each when I got them. I don't see any wear and tear on them, holding up just fine.

Re: 41 qt tub size question
well i went ahead and ordered the 1860/1960 4 tub rack with belly heat along with some reptile basics hides and a herpstat one i also picked up 4 tubs from target and will most likely pick up 4-8 more for quick swap cleanings and just to have some extras on hand if needed i figure its better to get them for 7.99 now than pay more later. thanks for the help it is appreciated
