    Color Mutations vs. Pattern Mutations

I personally like pattern mutations more than I do color, and this isn't a conscious choice but a conclusion that I have reached based on the snakes that I have owned. I preferred my bloodred and blizzard corns for their lack of pattern and I want some striped and motley corn snakes in the future. I want to make zebra bees for the pattern and color and I love the crazy patterns that cinnys usually have. In addition to this I want to make honey bee's for color and pattern and a super lemonback (BlkEL) for their lack of pattern and crazy eyes. So what do you prefer in mutations?

I really prefer morphs that are both color and pattern mutations (like spiders) If I had to choose between the 2 I would probably go for pattern mutations.

I do like pattern more so than color but more than that I like how they compliment each other. I love super reduced lessers, but love busy mojaves. Stripes have always been my favorite morph whether it's a corn, ball, leo, or any other reptile. I really love colors added to stripes like lesser g stripes and pastel super stripes, or anery stripe and butter stripe in corns.

Yeah I think pattern and color morphs such as lessers are the best IMO. Lessers and lesser combos are freakn powerful! I don't know if I could choose between pattern and color lol. Spiders are hot, but so are pastels!

I'd have to go with color in the end because with enough pattern morphs, eventually they all end up patternless! With color morphs, you get a bunch of fantastic colors haha

I definetly would say im slightly more of a color/blushing person rather than a pattern person.

Thanks for the input in the posts and it looks like the votes are split down the middle.

I DO like mutations that affect color, but usually only when the pattern is also affected. I think that is why I dislike albinos. I do however love axanthics all by themselves, so that is an example of a color mutation that I like. I love my pastel, but it is a pastel jungle ('07 hatchling that I bought from Greg Graziani in January 08') so it has a jungle pattern to it.

I like color that pop, I like reduced pattern, big pied and clown combos fan.

The only thing I am not crazy about are dark morphs or combos, I do like black pastels but I do not like many of their combos.

Eesh, both? I love bright/light colors. I also am not a fan of darker morphs. But also do like pattern as well. But I seem to prefer less "busy", as far as pattern goes.

I like snakes. There are some morphs I dont like and I am partial to darker morphs I just like snakes. While I really love pattern changers more than color changers I think they are of equal importance to me.

I too love axanthics (fingers crossed knock on wood we'll get a zebra bee in the spring), but I definitely prefer pattern morph axanthics that have very high contrast like super pastel axanthics and axanthic fires. So I guess I vote for both, except that the color morph is no color at all.
