Make sure that your hands are free of any rodent/snake smell. My brooksi is extremely calm, however if I don't wash my hands thoroughly after handling another snake or any feeders than there is a 100% chance that I will be bit, wrapped, and chewed on by him.

Other than that, frequent handling and proper husbandry should fix this behavior.
