    keeping the egg?

    I did anyone or will anyone keep the first egg that hatched? and i mean the egg not baby.

    As like a memento?

    Im not sure if reptile eggs are the same as bird eggs. I know people blow out bird eggs and paint them and they dont rot. How would you keep the egg?

    I would think the only way to preserve an egg is either freezing it or sun drying it. Otherwise it would probably start rotting. Maybe even put it in a jar with formaldehyde to preserve?

    The serpentarium sells dried BP eggs. Not sure how the do it, or who'd buy them, but they do sell em :p

    I actually did keep and dry eggs this year.
    I just poured out any "goo" then just left them to dry. (if you want them rounded, make sure to shape them before you leave them to dry.) No rotting, no smell, only perfect dried eggs.
    I kept one and gave the rest for free to very excited and appreciative teachers.
