Well the stuck shed, and the possibility that he is going to go into shed soon could make him extra jumpy. Leaving him alone is very good. Covering 3 sides of his cage with something to make them opaque will also help if you haven't done so already (black construction paper, or even regular printer paper works great)
You can make a hand towel damp with warm water (water temperature in the mid 80's. Remember what feels warm to us warm blooded humans will feel very hot to a cold blooded snake) The let your BP slither through the towel while you apply some light pressure. This should get most of the stuck shed off while inducing as little stress as possible.
