I came across a 4 week old that was trying ti escape, and it's foot was actually over and under the bar. It could not unwrap it. The swelling was huge, and it wasn't easy freeing it. I monitored the swelling, and since it never really got any better, it became a meal.
As for your girl, I say leave her, but watch more often. They might help try and keep her clean, and calm her down.
