If you only think your snake has mites now then in a week it will be very obvious if it does. Mites spread very quickly on a snake and if you dont check frequently your pet can be infested in no time. No need to be nervous. Mites can be easily remedied it just takes a little time and work. If you have several animals its just a real pain in the... Get some nix and mix 1 bottle of it ( its a small 1 or 2 ounce bottle) to 1 gallon of water. Fill a spray bottle. Empty the tub, clean it, spray it with Nix. Put some newspaper down, put animal in and lightly spray it with nix, ( nix will not harm the snake at all) dont put the water bowl in for 48 hrs. Spray the snake every three days. Leave the water bowl out while spraying. Every time you clean the tub spray it directly with nix. Your problem will be fixed in a week or so BUT mite eggs are hard to get rid of SO. Once a week you should clean the tub and spray directly with nix and do this for 8 to 10 weeks. Mite eggs take about 2 months to hatch. Dont fear the Mites, fear the keeper. Pay attention to your animals and you will see whats wrong with them. You are empowered with a wealth of experienced keepers. Good luck.
