    My adult-ish corn snakes sit there with their heads out of the hide for the most part. So they are ready to eat ALL the time. Lol If they aren't out, I lift the hide up and make sure they are awake, then dangle the p/k mouse in front of the hide. I draw them out of the hide a little bit more, then give it to them. I don't like them thrashing into their hides. They are really curious anyways, so when I open their tubs they usually come out to investigate.
