Temp vs Humidity during shed

I seem to have a dilemma with my tubs in my room. The passed few days in my room if I run my ceiling fan it makes the humidity in my tubs to the 40s. If I turn it off the ambient temp hits the mid 80s not giving much of a temp gradient for my boys. Under normal circumstances I would be ok with the low humidity but Craig is in his first shed since I've had him. Which is more important? This also affects Clyde's tub as well.

Well, move the water bowl closer to the eat source during shed and then run the fan.

I have tried this. I think the bowl I use doesn't really allow the water to affect the humidity very much

What I do for my girls is put damp moss under one of their hides (usually the one over the hot hide for a little extra humidity) and then mist the cage about twice I day. My normal has shed fine for me using this method. My normal humidity is around 50% and I always have my fan on because it gets to be 81-83 in my bedroom!

Add damp moss to the hides.

Get a smaller table top fan.

Or maybe leave the fan on but cover a few holes in the tubs until the shed is complete.

Mid 80s are in an acceptable range the top of it to be sure but ok. That said temps effect digestion, metabolism, immune system, and circulation. Humidity with correct ventilation effects shedding.

This is something I've been wanting to try but i've been worried about the damp moss also etting the aspen bedding I use. I read a few times on here that if you get aspen too wet gor too long out can fester with bacteria and the like. I was thinking of getting one of those ceramic pet dishes in the smallest size that way it can separate the moss from the aspen.
When I don't run the ceiling fan just a wet wash cloth laying on top of the warm hide keeps the humidity in' the high 70s.

Ceramic water bowl over the heat source, that's all you should need to do in a tub to get the humidity up.
If you need more you have to much ventilation or the tubs don't fit snugly in the rack.

I like to keep an eye on the snake when it's going into shed. I'll mark the tub and mist 2-3 times a day until shed. This works great for me, but I'm sure others will have their own (better) way
