    Thermostat question

If I'm running to heat cables to a ten high rack how would I get this thermostat to control both cables?

    With a power strip

    *EDIT*

It only has a 2 pronged plug so you will need a 2 pronged extention cord that has 3 outlets on the female end

    Hydrofarms are 3 prong outlets.

I personally would not cheap out on a t-stat. The hydrofarms are designed to heat dirt. The accuracy is poor the repeatability is also poor, and they have a high level of swing. I would be hesitant to use one with a single snake but ten? `

My recommendation would be a herpstat 1

    http://spyderrobotics.com/products/herpstat12.html

they have the most advanced safety systems currently on the market.

    Re: Thermostat question

as said it is a 3 prong. i use the hydrofarm it with a power strip and it works just fine even though it's not designed for reptiles on a budget it gets the job done. even though i plan on getting something better for now it works just fine

I have both the herpstat 2 and the hydrofarm. I was on a budget and used the hydrofarm but when I had both corns and bp's to hot spot, I opted for the herpstat2 to maintain 2 different temps using flex watt tapes. I now use the hydrofarm as a backup, but as some have mentioned , the temp fluctuates a bit +/- 3 degrees. The hydrofarm is way better then a dimmer switch at least but if you have the funds, I'd go with the herpstat or vivarium ve 200/300. I also have the ve300 but the herpstat has better safety features.

Your tstat should be the biggest investment you make. It is not a place to pinch pennies. AT ALL.
