Is my normal a yellow belly?

my husband and i purchased this little guy in may from our local petsmart and was wondering if it (not sure of gender) was labeled correctly. i see a lot of yellow belly characteristics, it's the belly itself that is confusing me.

Re: Is my normal a yellow belly?

Thanks all! Doesn't bother me that it's a normal. Being a first time ball python owner, morphs and colors are all new to me! all that matters to me is that it's happy and healthy!

    I have to ask....

Why did you purchase a Ball Python at a chain store? If there are breeders in your area, they probably would have given you a normal for $10 or maybe free. You probably could get a Pastel from a breeder for the same price as a normal from a chain store?? Especially a male. I imagine, even paying something for a normal male plus shipping would be cheaper than a chain pet store, or maybe not. Have not been in one in awhile.

Re: Is my normal a yellow belly?

we purchased it from a chain store because they were having a killer sale on their reptiles and we don't have many if any at all breeders in the area. ordering from a breeder on line and having them shipped is new to me. i wasn't sure it would arrive alive with the way our shipping companies handle things. it will be something i start looking into. we payed $30 for it at petsmart when they are originally around $70-$80.
