Re: Wow what the bleep!!! Is this
Looks like a really nice pastel but the browns are kinda throwing me off. It does look unhealthy but your friend i assume has the know how and means to handle it. But I would say pastel.

weird! It almost looks paradox-ish. Or calico? But I don't think either of those are possible...a great find, for sure!!! Here's hoping a quick recovery!
Mine's bigger.

Color will sometimes change when there is something wrong. It can be extreme. Sometimes it's nothing at all. Their health really affects the way they look. Other members who experienced such color changes can chime in hopefully. I honestly would attribute the change of color to a nutritional issue, not a genetic one. This is just my personal opinion.

Aww, the stressed malnourished pet store snake is so beautiful, though!
Poor thing. At least she looks nice and fat despite her mites.

Re: Wow what the bleep!!! Is this
Ball pythons can definitely experience changes in pigment due to environmental and/or nutritional issues. Frequent stress-related sheds due to a mite infestation could cause that sort of color change. Given proper care and time, I imagine she'll come to look like a "normal" ball python again. Even so, she has a very nice pattern, and she'll be very pretty no matter what color she presents.
