    No one in your family must be lactose intolerant! Haha. That's a lot of cream. Like, a lot! Going to be a very rich dish, for sure.

    As for adjustments to it, I'd definitely look to serve this with as light and refreshing a side as I could. Instead of tossing in veggies to the mix, I'd steam the veggies on the side and really try to go for something more acidic to counteract the richness of the meal. The majority of your meal is going to be heavy, so it would be tricky to balance. Egg noodles is a good choice.

    I'd personally steam up a bunch of beans and bright green veggies with this. I'd probably add lemon to the steam bath to give it that little hint of palette cleansing between bites.

    Or, serve something really light and fruity for dessert.
