Set up a quarantine enclosure in a separate room. Have a whole set of separate equipment designated for quarantined animals. You don't want to cross contaminate tools and supplies. It defeats the purpose of quarantine.

When you feed a quarantined snake and it doesn't eat, don't put the feeder back in with the rest of the food sources you feed your healthy snakes. Keep is sealed or separate.

Personally I keep snakes in quarantine for a minimum of 6 months. Some illnesses can lay dormant for months before becoming active so you don't want to introduce your new snake to the rest of the collection too soon.

Overall, do all your cleaning routine for your resident animals first, then do quarantine last. You don't want to walk in quarantine then go to your other snakes.
