If you gave her a week to settle I don't see any problem with giving her an appropriate sized feeder. You can try a smaller one for her first meal with you but I don't think it's necessary.

Roaming is a sign of stress or hunger, so I take it as a good sign when my snakes are in their hides and not roaming or pushing at their tubs.
