I retired some old african soft furs today and thought I'd share my carpet python's impressive multi-tasking capabilities. He got the first one and was wrapped up as usual(strong feeding response on this boy - dead or alive) but one of my other snakes refused so I dropped a second one in with him. Refusing to release the first kill he actually used his tail to pin the second rat against the side of the enclosure. I was impressed he was able to hold it in place without coiling so I went to grab my camera but by the time I got back he had thrown some coils around this one as well. Anyway, thought I'd share this display of snake coordination.
