A perfect example of what I look for and what I try to avoid in a BP's polygenetic contributions to its coloration!

While beautiful, animals that exhibit coloration similar to the normal is exactly what I try to avoid for my projects. I find that kind of lineage combines poorly with pastel, ghost, enchi, and lesser platinum traits. There aren't as many morphs that do well with dark, melanistic genetics, but they are out there. They just tend to be the morphs I have little interest in working with.

However, the poss. het. is the exact opposite, pretty darn good coloration that would be a great addition to the above morphs.

The wide range of ball python coloration even among similar genotypes is probably the biggest argument that people should be darn picky with their breeding projects. Cool stuff and thanks for sharing
