I definitely like my BP a lot, but I can't say I love him. Mostly because after I realized that he won't eat, I tried not to get too attached in case he ends up starving himself to death It hasn't been too long, though, so I keep hoping that he'll eat.
I love all of my pets (with the exception of fish that I've owned, which, really, who can blame me?) simply because I don't believe in keeping "display pets" or pets that you don't interact with. No offense to people that have those kinds of pets, it's just not something I do. I have no problem with other people doing it.
And people always joke about snakes eating peoples pet cat and dogs, and how my snake's gonna kill me (My snake is a baby BP that's not even 2 feet), which is incredibly upsetting, because even though they don't say that they hate snakes, they definitely don't respect them or my choice to have them, and I end up getting upset.

Those fire fighters must have been really good people! Most people would say "Who cares, they're just snakes?". So glad you and your family and the five BP's got out okay! So sorry about the others
