    Female Spider and ... ?

I can't decide which morph to breed my female spider with. I thought about pewters because if I'm lucky, I will be able to get normal, spider, pastel, bumblebee, cinnamon, cinnabee, pewter or pewter bees. I've seen some black pewter go for reasonably good price and I'd pretty much get the same offsprings (the first four) and black pastel, black bee, black pewter and black widow.

What I'm wondering is, which one should I go with? I would like to continue and expand my collection and to be able to sell some of the hatching (if I'm lucky) so which holds the most value?

I really like lesser bees but I think I'll hold off on that one, or if you have any suggestions, I'm open to hear your thoughts. Thanks!

Caliders are pretty sweet if you have the $ for a Calico... but I personally like the idea of a Black Pewter because Black Bees are awesome!

I'm a big fan of the lesser bee. Plus its always nice to have lessers in your collection. Enchi is also nice. But if you were to take a lesser bee and breed it to an enchi, that is a smoking looking snake. To me it looks like desert tri color cammies. Or you can get a butter fire and take the road to a nuclear spider, those are bad ass too.

I forgot to mention that with the nuclear spider you would also get butter bees. You could also do:
firefly x spider = fire bee
lemon blast X spider = spinner blast
lesser pastel x spider = queen bee
desert x spider = desert spider (hope for males)

If you are willing to invest some time in recessive projects:
pied x spider het pied = spied
lav albino x spider het lav = lavender spider
vpi axanthic x spider het vpi = axanthic spider
caramel x spider het caramel = caramel spider
orange ghost x spider het OG = honey bee
pastel orange ghost x spider het OG = humble bee

I think spider goes best with lighter morphs.

Lesser Pastel would be a great pairing for a decent price.

Which one would you choose, black pewter with spider OR pewter with spider? If I were to sell the hatchings, which one would bring me the most $?

Let me rephrase my question, which hatchings are more popular and easier to sell if they're from a pewter/spider or black pewter/spider?

Some good pointers I got here when I first started talking of what to breed to what, are what I will recommend to you...

Breed what YOU like. If you like LesserBee's then breed for that. You can't go wrong with throwing a Lesser at most common morphs anyways. I personally will be putting my 0.1 Spider with my 1.0 Lesser in a few months.... Lesserbee's are high on MY list. I will breed what I like because you will not always be able to sell what is going for a buck at the moment, so you might end up "owning" them for a while.

My ultimate goal is to breed for Nuclear Spiders and Nuclear Pinstripes next year. I got a FireButter this past year for that project next year... note how I have 4 Spider/Pinstripe/Spinner girls to pair with the FireButter next fall.

The odds gods must surely be against me if I can't hit a Nuclear next fall.

Re: Female Spider and ... ?

I agree. I should be breeding what I want. Here's the thing, I really like Cinna Bee and Pewter Bee (if I breed with pewter, AND the same goes for Black Widow and Black Bee (if I get the Black Pewter). I am asking because I am sure I will keep one of each and sell the rest. That's why I wanted to know which ones are more popular so I wont be stuck with too many pythons.
