    childrens python?

just picked up a childrens python not sure of sex yet taking her to the vet soon. she's a little over five months old. weighs twenty nine grams. i was wondering how fast they grow on all the care sheets i've read it says they reach a length of three and a half feet. the man at the reptile shop says they get bigger than that. is this true and if so how much bigger do they get?

So far everything i have found points to them getting to about 5 feet or possibly 6 feet max. The good news is apparently you don't need a super huge tank. Something like a 30 gallon long tank will do.....or so i have been told.

Depends on how much and how often you feed them and it depends on whether or not it's a pure childreni.

They don't get anywhere near six feet. Even a 5 footer would be a very very very large children's python.

I bred antaresia for years and my largest female childreni was probably no larger than 38".

Childrens tend to stay smaller, unless hes confused this for a spotted python which get bigger. I see a lot of pet shops confuse the two or claim them to be the same snake.

Problem with Children and Spotted is they easily hybridize so if you dont got them from reputable breeder is a big chance that they are not pure...

As Skip say Childrens over 3.5 feet are rare...

4.5-5 feet Spotted is a monster for a specie.

Pictures could help identify what you have..
