    Fair priced pair?

Is 400.00 a fair price for an adult pair of normal hogs? Their weights are listed but they are supposed to be about 26 inches. From my understanding that's a big male and a not quite ready female, correct?

I personally don't think it's that great. Do you have pictures of the pair? For reference, there's an adult pair on kingsnake that's 66% het amel for $400. Another reference, is an adult 100% het hypo for $500.

If anything, try a reasonable lower offer.

If your looking to breed them I would hold off and get some het animals. Hogs grow really fast and will be ready to breed in no time. I purchased a female at 60g in Jan and shes doubled her size since and will be more than ready to breed next season. For 400 you could probably find a almost ready to breed het albino girl and male hets are real cheap.

Thanks that's kinda what I was thinking. These guys are for sale at a well know reptile store that usually has very strange prices of things. I think my best bet would be through kingsnake or a show.

How fast do they grow, I'm not to familiar with growth speed of hogs. As far as breeding them the only thing I have been told is 3 years, 3 feet, and 300 grams. I saw a 2010 female on kingsnake that was only 90 grams. She is just under weight or is that normal?

Males are generally ready to breed after 12 months, and females after 2 years and 200-250 grams.

Edit: However, females have been bred as early as 18 months, though waiting the extra few months is advisable.
