    Disposing of Rats?

I'm not sure that this is in the correct space.. If it's not, feel free to move it

So my Ball python is on an infamous Food strike. Because they're frozen thawed, I can't save them for later and there's nothing else to eat his rats that he doesn't take. What do you guys do with the rodents that are rejected? I've been throwing them out but the smell is terrible- even in 6 plastic bags! I don't have the space to bury them in the city.. Any suggestions? - Thanks guys

Yeah, I bet my garbage men love it when one of my snakes doesn't eat.......

Double garbage sack here, usually its my CL rescue mojo that doesn't eat. Get a boa, then feed them last, they can bat clean up,lol. Mines not big enough yet.

Lol, the neighbors back yard or laundry line...... We are pretty packed in here. Wish we had more space.

I live in the city... I just throw them in the dumpster. No one is ever really in the alley, since it smells like garbage, so I don't think anyone notices the smell...lol.

Also everyone throws their dog poop bags in the dumpsters so it is probably more likely to smell like dog crap.

How often are u throwing them out?? Do u attempt to feed only once?

That must be expensive. In the wild bps are opportunistic feeders. And will from time to time eat already killed or dead prey.

I feed at 10pm pull uneaten rats out at 6am in the morning.. Then refreeze, i will attempt to feed a rat 3 times before admitting defeat.. It all depends on ur feeder stock. My supplier packs very fresh, so i get 3 tries with minimal decomp

I put them back in the freezer until trash day, then just toss it in the bag and tie it up and put it outside no smell
