Yellow Belly?
Long story short, I won a normal ball python. My girlfriend went to pick up the normal from the breeder. He had them all in a tub and told her she could pick whichever she liked. We wanted a female so he was popping them for her, found this girl and said she was probably a yellow belly put in the normal bucket by accident. She took her home and curious to what other people think. I've never heard of a "maybe yellow belly". She is still tiny, 62 grams, but eating like a champ. Her color is super weird to me, it's not the camera it's the "tint" she seems to be all over her belly, although she might be just going into shed. It's almost glowish and has been that way since last Friday since she was picked up. Sorry for the pictures, they were taken with the good camera she is just very squirmy.
I can see some of the flames, clear belly, her head is a bit faded, but not to much blushing to her.

Hmm I'd say yea that's pretty YB looking for sure

I'd have a hard time calling that a yellowbelly with almost no flaming, no speckling on the belly, and I don't see a head spot unless it's just a bad angle.
No hooks or j's in the pattern and no banding, my guess is it's not a yb.

hmmmm not all YB's have a head spot. J-hooks and banding are also not a YB marker. Those picks are not very good, but it does look like it may have a bit of flamming on it. The belly does look like it may have some YB speckling. YB's can be a little tricky to spot if they are low grade.

Thanks everyone for your replies.
She does have one "J" that I noticed after seeing the responses however it doesn't show in the pictures I posted. She was being extremely wiggly when trying to take the pictures. These are crappy cell phone pictures I took when I was weighing her the first day I had her. Sadly she is now in shed so hopefully I will be able to post some freshly shed pictures soon.
She is in shed so it could explain the coloring, however I have never seen a snake that has such a red hue to it. I have four other snakes going into shed, three that are the same sizes as her and none of them have ever been so red. It's like she glows red or orange. Any idea what that could be? Eager to see if it stays after shed but not holding my breath just in case.

That pic isn't mine but its a primo example of a Yellow Bellys belly. Lots of checkering and flameage. Yours I wouldn't call a YB but its a good looking girl!

Sorry, the picture you posted didn't show up. I do have a nice Orange Belly that I have been comparing her too, however different lines and 100+ gram difference between the two make it hard to compare.
