depends on the snake. habit, age size, ect... I know you are looking for an average. but the average of a hatchling will be different than a yearling. or a female who just had a clutch of eggs. these numbers will be all over the place. some of my snakes will only eat certain times of the year. others all year. those averages will differ greatly. I had a female that I picked up in the beginning of july a few years ago. she weigh 749 grams. she breed that year in dec weighting 2800 grams. I think she just had a clutch and was also well under feed. we picked her up just to save her. she's now one of the best feeders I have. the best thing to do is, keep records of all your snakes. when they feed, weights when they go off feed, ect.. you will get to know each one of your snakes and their feeding habits, what they feed on the best. I have a lot of ball pythons and the average means nothing to me. it's how good each one grows year after year knowing their eating habits. good luck, I know this isn't the answer you were looking for but I hope it helps. don
