DIY enclosure, what to seal interior edges with?

So I'm starting my enclosure and read posts to use non-toxic sealant for the interior edges. I read the labels of like 5 products at home depot all said could be irritating/harmful while curing, I picked up clear silicone will this work? If not is there a product you recommend?

You're going to laugh... but I use Hot Glue. A simple glue gun. It works wonderfully, is fully water resistant, totally non toxic, and dries instantly so no waiting period.

And it lasts. My current snake cages have been in use for about 4 years now, I believe, and the seals are still just fine. And even if they did come loose or flake off, replacing them is a snap and very cheap.

I sealed my edges with 100% silicone. and I sealed my wood with acrylic wood sealer by minwax.

you can get aquarium silicone at pet stores which is perfectly safe 100 % silicone .
