Anybody else remember the scare tactics they had going about 15 years ago? Children getting abducted. It was all over the news, all over the schools. There was panic. Panic about keeping an eye on your kids, not letting them talk to anybody, not going to certain playgrounds where there 'might' be a dangerous person. The child abducters were always in a white windowless van too. I heard this story in numerous cities and remember parents just being frantic about protecting their kids from the sudden AMOUNT of these monsters out there.
Truth is, Snakes and Reptiles are a 'flavor of the month' deal right now with scare tactics. Just a few years ago, it was Bioweapons. Remember that? Anthrax? They were encouraging people to 'prepare for the worst' and 'buy what you need to protect your family'.
It's unfortunate, but it's true. Pit Bulls have been hit by this before. The internet is starting to get bad for how it's 'corrupting our children'! Terrorism was a huge scare tactic for a while with 'reports coming in of threats against the city of ______________". Etc etc.
