So my grandpa gave us some seeds claiming they were pumpkin seeds. (Not like in a package, he had saved them from last season). As i was planting them me and my stepdad were both like wow, those are odd looking pumpkin seeds. We didnt really think anything of it until today when my stepdad finds a butternut squash growing. Now it all makes sense lol. I was really disapointed bc i wanted some punkins for fall!

Nice! Squash are good! I like to bake them (I use acorn), then while they are cooking, fry up some link sausage. When squash is almost done, turn face up and put link sausage in the hole, with butter and brown sugar...yum! You are making me antsy for fall, and fall food. Pumpkins are cool too. Making jack o lanterns and pumpkin butter. I will be lucky to get some tomatoes before the weather turns. Plants are huge, tomatoes on them all, but none turning red or yellow yet. Looks like I will be doing the brown bag trick.

Hi Chris!
Congrats to your garden, I also planted late this year, have a couple of tomatoes on the pots, cabbages, broccoli, and beets on the soil bed.
