    Clean/feed day

Does anyone completely clean cages the same day as feeding? I usually change substrate(unprinted newspaper) and scrub the tubs clean on Sunday(if they go tithe bathroom before they get cleaned also but Sunday everyone gets cleane no matter what)!and then feed on Monday. But classes are starting Monday so that will not be able to happen anymore. I'm curious does anyone fully clean their tubs the same day as they feed? Do you see a stronger or weaker feeding response from your ball pythons?

    Re: Clean/feed day

In my opinion any amount of handling on feeding day is unnecessary stress. So whenever I feed, I take the snakes weight, feed it immediately after that and then leave them alone for two days.

Then again, tank cleaning is kind of a rarity for me. I fill up water, spot clean poop sheds and urates, every time im next to my tanks, and check temps on feeding day, but I only do a full substrate change and PAM once a month ish. Snakes arent very messy in general, and dont smell very bad, so I dont see any reason to clean it so frequently. Unless of course they knock over a water dish or something. I use a combination of newspaper and aspen, so that requires a substrate change @_@

I like to clean my cages 2-3 days before feeding. This limits handling and allows them time to settle.
