Oh my gosh that poor tortoise! (Sorry random Humane Society person who identified it, that's not a box turtle, most likely a Russian tortoise.) These little guys hate not having their feet on something solid, it completely freaks them out. I can't imagine how scared the poor thing was I hope someone takes good care of him/her.
