I do believe snakes are capable of learning when feeding day is, and associating certain movements/scents with being fed. Your husband doesn't move like you do, or smell like you do. They probably can associate a particular human with being fed. I don't think their brains are complex enough to form any sort of attachment to the humans that feed them.
It could also be that he clomps around with the "grace" of a noisy stumbling buffalo whereas I scare people to death by simply, silently, "suddenly appearing" beside them.

It makes *my* nerves jump when he plows through the room, too.
