Good working humidistat?

Ok so basically I want to put a fogger on my BP cage and hook it up to a humidistat. I would also like to hook my lamp up to a thermostat but at the same time I don't want to pay an arm and a leg for tthe stuff. Any suggestions? I really want a full auto system no alarms. Just on and off by its self.

The only system that I know of would be a Herpstat 2. With a humidity probe ( purchased seperatly) you can regulate your heat source and fogger.

They aren't exactly cheap, but they are the best (and really only for what you want).

I'm not understanding this. on or in your bp cage? not sure what type of setup you have, but I'm seeing red flags on this.

Or he lives in the middle of the Sahara, but yea I would also like to know why an automatic fogger would need to be hooked to a BP's enclosure.

If you're water bowl has enough surface area the evaporation of it will provide plenty of humidity.

The ecozone and herpkeeper will also run misting/humidity systems as well as the herpstats, I am certain the herpstats are less costly however. These two offer very advanced control but most of it is not needed for balls a bit wasted really. They both offer text and email alerts and the ecozone remote monitoring useful additions but you pay for them.

I want to set it up outside and let it run in. I live in the highland desert in Colorado and I use a heat lamp. I have to mist the enclosure way too much and I am afraid of scale rot from water on the cypress mulch. I have a good sized water bowl but it's just not enough. Tiberius is just entering shed and I am having trouble keeping humidity at 70.

Humidity does not need to be 70% at all really 60% if fine during a shed and in-between as low as 45% is fine. I rarely ever have mine over 60%. I think many think they need more due to inaccurate hygrometers they often become higher if there is no damage to them due to junk building up on the sensor.

I use a HYGROTHERM...It will run your fogger and lamp. It has 1 sensor that reads humidity and temp...And will regulate both to the levels you set. It costs about $100.00...But sometimes you can get a better deal through Amazon. I bought mine for $75.00 through them. I have been using it for about 2 mos now, and no issues.
