Don't be too harsh on me, this is a poem I actually wrote myself when I was a kid and I had to get my best friend Honey, a cockerspaniel we'd rescued ten years previous, put to sleep.

There's a wonderful place where all loving animals go
when they've gone and left and leave you alone.
It's got "Polly the Parrot," "Goldie the Fish," "Spot the Dog,"
and they all get what they wish.
It's always play time, they always have treats
and on holidays, they stuffed full with sweets.
They all get along, cats to dogs to birds
and when they get there they understand Master's words.
As time goes on and you get old,
when you join them they'll understand what they're told.
They learn extravagant tricks from friends that they saw,
so when you arrive they leave you in awe.
You see it's not just for animals, it's for all who share,
it's for all who gave tender love and care.
It's not a World Wonder, not one of the seven
and some don't believe-- it's true,
animals do go to heaven.
