Yes, spurs are normal. All BPs are born with them but some adults will be missing one or have broken spurs because of bad sheds or other accidents.
A normal ball python will have some pattern on their belly; some black lines or squiggles etc. Just a continuation of their pattern. Yellow belly snakes have a solid yellow color on their belly, no patterns or markings. That's the basic difference

A first sign that ball pythons are going into shed is when their belly turns a pinkish color. The 'Blue' phase (cloudy eyes) comes a bit later. You'll notice their colors getting duller too
