    the breeding cycle that a female goes thru can change. not always the same time of the year. if you feel they have good weight for their length. it won't hurt to try and place a male with her. watch to see if she tail wags. one thing to remember, if you have a strong breeding male. he might lock her even if she's not ready. I use an ultrasound, but there are also signs to look for, plus some also feel for follicles. I say go for it. no reason not to.
