Rabbit substitions?

Just curious as I know that at some point my retic girl might need rabbits. Are there any good substitutions for using rabbits? The only place I could get some from would be RodentPro (but I have heard their quality has gone downhill) or bigappleherp. As for local supplies of rabbits a google search brings nothing up. Could guinea pigs or just jumbo rats work? She is half dwarf so she shouldn't get too large but it never hurts to be prepared.

I don't own a retic but have heard of people that don't have a supply of rabbits readily available that just feed there's multiple jumbo rats in one feeding. Hope that helps.

guinea pigs or pigs work. Go on your local craigslist under the farm section and put up and add looking for a meat rabbit breeder

Pigs are going to be too big and expansive. I know a guy down here that said they get pigs for their retic and it's like $45 each. You can feed jumbo rats. Or look around for show rabbit breeders. They might sell you rabbits that they can't use for show. I'm going to breeding my own rabbits soon that will get 11lb full grown.
