Shedding with scars??
I was looking on Craigslist the other day. There was an albino, (which is on my wish list) but she has scars all over. The guy said the previous owner had let a mouse get to her. It looks all healed, but I am curious if anyone has a snake with scars like that, do they shed ok? Or will she have problems shedding? Also, will the scars ever go completely away after several sheds? Thanks.

I think I read on here before that the snake shouldn't have a problem shedding and that the scars would slowly disappear or become near invisible over time.

We have a big female with a couple scars. They haven't gone away or reduced and she always has a weird/hard time with her shed in the areas they're in.

Do you have any pictures of the scars/scar area you can post, so I could compare to the one I am looking at? This poor girl has them all over. Thanks.

My Pastel Lesser had a bad experience with a rat pretty recently, and while the scabs have mostly fallen off, the new scales are very white. Only time will tell if they will ever heal up normal. I will say this though, With the wounds being fairly fresh, he shed perfectly.

Thank you! This little girl I am toying with getting has TONS of those. I can't even imagine what she looked like when it happened to her. Poor thing.

That's so sad. Does the person you're planning on getting her from having anything to say about her shedding?
