    boys are dirty!

Afternoon!! silly question for u guys... ive got one male and one female. i was cleaning out their tanks today and noticed the male always poops under his hide and pretty much curls up next to it til i clean it out. the female always poops as far away from the hide as possible and retreats back to her (clean) hide. was wondering if either of these behaviors is most typical? are boy snakes just as nasty as their human counterparts? please dont take offense, just a joke.

btw im new to the site and really enjoying it!!

I find it doesn't really matter what gender they are.. Sometimes they will lay in their poop and sometimes they won't. I prefer when they don't. That is just nasty. Why would you curl up with your turds?? Silly snakes.

Thankfully mine tend to steer clear of the offensive end of the tub, most of the time. My bee won't go anywhere near her poo. But my female pastel painted me a poo mural yesterday. Blech.

my snakes poop on one end then stay on the other end. then theres the occasional poop in the water bowl day. maybe it's a sign that they want fresh water lol

^^ lmao! My Albino female is the worst. She is the same, I'm not sure if she likes to play in it or just does it to get a warm bath and wipe down after. All of my other snakes will avoid a mess in their tub at all costs.
